Brief descriptions of the commands available on the menu are listed below.
File menu
CommandAction
NewClears the simulator input files and output text.
OpenOpens a file describing a circuit
Save TextSaves the simulator's output text
Save Text AsSaves the simulator's output text to a specified file
PrintPrint the simulator's output text
Print ReviewReview the pages that would be printed
Print SetupSet-up the printer
Recent File ListAllows quick access to the most recently used files.
ExitExit the simulator
Edit Menu
CommandAction
CopyCopy selected text in to the clipboard
View Menu
CommandAction
ToolbarToggles the toolbar on or off
Status BarToggles the status bar on or off
OptionsBrings up the options dialog box
Quantum
CommandAction
Start SimulationStarts simulating the loaded circuit (after presenting the user with options for the simulation)
Calculation PrioritySets the priority of calculation thread(s) to either Normal or Below Normal.
Simulation MethodSets the simulation method to either Simple or Complex
Maximum ThreadsSets the number of calculation threads in the complex simulation to a value between one and eight.
VectorsSets the state vector storage method to either static or sparse
Tests
CommandAction
Single Test CircuitExecute a test circuit. The user is prompted with a dialog box asking the type of circuit test. The results are not checked for accuracy. This option is available in both the release and debug versions of the product.
Continuous Circuit TestsExecute continuous random circuit tests. The user is prompted with a dialog box asking which tests are to be randomly chosen, their size and the allowed simulation methods. The test results are checked for accuracy. This option is available in the debug version only.
